4 Christmas Gifts for New Preppers for $25

.

Preppers appreciate a gift that is practical to them.  I have made a list of 4 items that would a great Christmas gift for a new prepper.  Please let me know your thoughts.

1. A Trama First Aid Kit.  This is an item that some people do not get right away when putting together their kit but will come in very handy if ever needed. The QuikClot clotting sponge in this package certainly won't be a panacea for any and all potential trauma in the wilderness—it will however help you stabilize someone until more advanced care can be sought later. Examination gloves and a biohazard disposal bag help to mitigate risks and help prevent a single emergency from turning into something worse. This is a good option around $25. If your budget is less you can do just the Quick Clot for as low as $15.

2. A Life Straw The LifeStraw Personal Water Filter is the original ultralight backpack and travel-friendly “straw” filter, the LifeStraw makes contaminated water safe to drink by removing bacteria and parasites, preventing the majority of waterborne disease. Use it to drink directly from streams and lakes, or fill up a container and use your LifeStraw to enjoy clean water on the go. The LifeStraw has unlimited shelf life and once opened can provide an individual with more than 5 years of safe drinking water. You can get one for under $25.

3. SOL Emergency Blanket /  Bivvy Bag Great for outdoor excursions such as skiing and hunting trips, the SOL Emergency Bivvy Bag is made from Heatsheets® material that reflects up to 90% of your body heat to help you stay warm in outdoor emergency situations. This bivvy features fully sealed seams that help prevent rain, wind and snow from getting in, keeping you dry and comfortable. Waterproof and windproof and only about a half of pound. This will only set you back around $17.

4. Heirloom Vegetable SeedsHeirloom seeds are especially valuable to preppers because the seeds can be saved to plant in future seasons.  You can't go wrong picking up a few packs of seeds.  This is a very affordable option for a gift or stocking stuffier.
